Why use MOSO® Bamboo as a cladding material?

  • MOSO® Bamboo products contribute to a higher certification score for green building projects (e.g. LEED, BREEAM). The bamboo stem can be harvested in 4-5 years and doesn’t die after harvesting. This means no deforestation takes place while large amounts of CO2 are captured in the bamboo forests and products.
  • The incredible hardness and stability of MOSO® Bamboo products means less shrinking and swelling than most solid wood species, allowing for more design freedom, easy installation and a 25-year guarantee. No gap between the ends of boards is necessary with closed cladding and MOSO® Bamboo Cladding requires no periodic maintenance.
  • MOSO® Bamboo Cladding products achieve fire resistance Class B-s1-d0 without the use of fire retardants. As a result, the products can be easily applied in public projects without additional protective measures.

Maintenance-free cladding with easy installation

Did you know MOSO® Bamboo Cladding can be easily installed (both vertically and horizontally)? No complicated installation plans are necessary. Some profiles are suitable for traditional installation with screws (closed, rebated, trapezium and varibo profiles) while others can be installed with MOSO®’s hidden fasteners (rebated, rhombus and varibo profiles). The patented Grad installation method even makes it possible to install cladding on an aluminium rails with hidden and demountable clips. MOSO® Bamboo products are easily available through our network of partners.

MOSO® Bamboo Cladding is maintenance-free, saving time and money in the long run. If you don’t want the surface becoming grey over time (similar to most timber), regular application of Woca or Sikkens maintenance materials is needed.
