Rooms with bamboo floors always appear extremely elegant and very valuable, but at the same time also natural. Due to their very high Brinell hardness, bamboo floors are particularly robust compared to classic parquet floors and are also a symbol of sustainability en durability. The ‘Density striped’ version of the Bamboo Elite collection from the bamboo specialist MOSO® offers expressive design possibilities thanks to an unobtrusive line drawing. For these reasons, the team of architects [fritzen 28] chose this floor for all representative, highly frequented areas at the new headquarters of Südwestmetall.
In the new headquarters of Südwestmetall in Esslingen, Germany, the warm light brown of the bamboo flooring in the open stairwell and corridors creates a pleasant atmosphere. The fine line drawing of the variant Density striped accentuates the lengths of the solid planks and thus gives the rooms width. In total, the floor installers of Parkett Neubert have glued 2,000 m² of the solid plank pattern over the entire surface. The boards from the Bamboo Elite series not only fulfill the desire for an exclusive, natural look. The flooring also stands for certified sustainability: it is CO2 neutral and remarkably durable over its entire life cycle: MOSO® has a 30-year guarantee. Since it meets the requirements of fire protection class Cfl-s1 in accordance with EN 13501-1, it is suitable for use in all different sorts of buildings.
The pattern of the floors is created by dark, heat-treated strips that are integrated at irregular intervals. The Bamboo Elite series is part of the Grand Collection; the name speaks for itself: the 1830 x 130 x 13 mm planks in this collection are particularly long and wide, giving them a special look. The planks are also extremely hard and stable. The density variant has a Brinell-hardness of approx. 9. The surface is oiled with WOCA oil, making the planks resistant to daily use in buildings while keeping their natural appearance.
