Coevorden is one of the Dutch cities where bamboo, instead of aluminum, road signs were used. Bamboo traffic signs, developed by MOSO and HR Groep, were placed on and around several new roundabouts in 2018. The bamboo signs have a better CO2 footprint than traditional aluminium signs.
