Danubeflats Vienna

Danubeflats is an iconic residential building in the heart of Vienna – completed in 2025, located directly on the banks of the New Danube in the Donaustadt district. With a height of 180 metres and 48 floors, it is Austria’s tallest residential tower and, thanks to its architecture, a building that enriches the Vienna skyline. The building comprises around 600 apartments, almost all with their own balcony or terrace. This is because individual outdoor spaces – even at lofty heights – are very much in vogue. However, all materials used in outdoor areas at these heights are exposed to extreme stresses and must be able to withstand them permanently. At the same time, they should radiate a high level of living comfort and a high-quality living atmosphere.

MOSO^® Bamboo X-treme decking boards were therefore chosen for the outdoor areas and terraces. A total of 13,000 m² of these boards were laid on a Grad system substructure, with an additional 500 m² in the Bamboo N-durance variant. These are bamboo decking boards in a warm caramel colour. The solid bamboo decking, which is made from pressed, thermally treated bamboo strips, offers exceptional stability and durability, making it ideal for heavily used outdoor areas.
