House Smit, designed by Veld Architects, is a refined Cape Town residence that blends contemporary design with a sustainable core. Known for their commitment to regenerative architecture, Veld Architects have created a home that prioritises wellbeing, light, and sustainable materials. Bamboo Solid Panel is used for the ceiling and staircase, offering a tactile contrast to the home’s cool grey and white palette, while Bamboo Elite flooring adds to the healthy living environment in the bedroom.

Outside, the façade features bamboo screens on the first floor, mounted on rails to function as adjustable shutters. This smart design allows residents to control heat and light throughout the day, while adding a natural, wood-like touch to the otherwise minimalist exterior.
