At the edge of the historic Heilooërbos, Natrufied Architecture designed a biobased villa that answers one of the most common questions in contemporary design:
“Can wood and bamboo be combined in modern architecture?”
With its structural framework made from locally sourced pinewood and the exterior finished in Bamboo X-treme Closed cladding, this home shows that the answer is yes. Bamboo X-treme enriches the lighter pinewood with a refined contrast. It also adds durability, high stability and fire safety class B(EN 13501-1). The result is a façade that feels natural yet robust enough for forest conditions. The villa is defined by its sculptural roof curve, known as the “bamboo wave”. This form shields the bedrooms and bathroom from the street. It unfolds toward the garden, creating openness and a continuous dialogue with the surrounding landscape. A generous covered veranda extends the living spaces outdoors and frames views of the forest.
