The apartment complex “De Boel” is part of the General Expansion Plan Amsterdam (AUP) and consists of a brick assembly building system, which makes it unique in the Netherlands. A highlight of the building is its roof garden with MOSO^® Bamboo X-treme decking. The landscaped roof garden is designed as a “polder roof garden” which is an invention of the installer “De dakdoktors”. A special system of crates allows storing rainwater and draining it at a later preferred time to water the plants. The bamboo terrace offers residents a recreational space for rooftop parties or relaxation.
