More than 1800 m2 of Bamboo X-treme® decking boards and beams have been installed around the Center Court Chemelot Brightlands Campus in Geleen. The bamboo decking boards are equipped with an Urban Grid anti-slip system. Bamboo X-treme® beams have been used for the stairs. Ector Hoogstad Architects designed a campus building where socializing and innovation are central: inviting, transparent and open, both to the inside and outside.
It offers a pleasant atmosphere that is dedicated to interaction – planned and coincidental – and exchange. Because that is the essence of this building: stimulating cross-pollination and mutual inspiration between different users. Center Court is a sustainable building: BREEAM-NL three stars (Very Good). The energy consumption is low, and with climate ceilings and climate façades the temperature is partly regulated. Where possible, recycled or renewable, bio-based materials have been used.
