Museo van Bommel van Dam

In Venlo, a monumental post office has been repurposed to Museum van Bommel van Dam. BiermanHenket is responsible for the overall design, but together with the museum sought various collaborations with young designers and local companies. The sculptural art window, one of the museum’s new eye-catchers, is clad on the outside with aluminium shingles. The shape and folds refer to envelopes and thus to the history of the post office. The inside is finished with MOSO^® Bamboo 1-Ply Panel, where the bamboo material seamlessly follows the organic shape. The new additions are designed to be sustainable and circular, which is another reasons MOSO^® Bamboo 1-Ply Panel was chosen. A place for inspiration and connection, accessible and inviting where there is room for meeting and debate: the new location puts Museum van Bommel van Dam literally and figuratively at the heart of the city.
