Superior to tropical hardwood

MOSO^® Bamboo X-treme uses a unique process to enhance the hardness, dimensional stability, fire resistance and durability to a level superior to the best tropical hardwood species. This means:

Fire resistance can be achieved without use of fire retardants. Therefore, Bamboo X-treme can be applied in public projects without additional protective measures;
MOSO^® can provide Bamboo X-treme outdoor products with up to 25 years warranty (10 years for Outdoor Beams);
The products can be installed in tough conditions with high traffic, around swimming pools, near coastlines and in extreme climates;
The high stability ensures boards stay straight even after many years of installation and can be easily installed without gaps between the ends of boards;
The products are low maintenance. Like most hardwoods, the products will weather beautifully and obtain a grey color over time unless treatment is applied.

The addition of Bamboo X-treme in your project contributes to a higher LEED, BREEAM, Green Star, HQE and DGNB certification score for green building projects. Bamboo X-treme project references are found all around the world, such as Saint Gobain Tower (HQE + BREEAM Outstanding + LEED) in France or Fünf Morgen Dahlem Urban Village (DGNB) in Germany. MOSO^® can provide, on request, all solid bamboo products with an FSC^®-certification. FSC^® is globally recognised as one of the best and most stringent responsible forestry certification systems in the wood industry.
