Headquarter Caisse d’Épargne de Bordeaux
MOSO® bamboo products have been installed inside and outside the new head office of the Caisse d'Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes (CEAPC). Located on one of the banks of the Garonne river, the new headquarters enhances Bordeaux’s urban space and heritage around the Paludate dock. The sustainable bamboo products fit to the aim to create an eco-design and reduce the need of all energy uses. The glass façade is partly covered by MOSO® Bamboo N-finity beams. The natural look continues inside, with walls that are covered by bamboo beams and panels and stairs that are made from MOSO® Bamboo UltraDensity stair panels.
According to the architects, the geometry of the building is part of a prism. Wide amplitudes of inflection animate the building with a movement, like an evocation of the river landscape. Large vegetated faults break the linearity of the volume. Strata, folds, intervals and faults animate its façades and convey a contemporary aesthetic on a human scale. A glass screen revealing the inner life of the siege is a large, urban-scale window facing the heart of Bordeaux.
